My Jewelmint Order Finally Shipped!

I had learned about JewelMint a few weeks ago. After browsing the site a bit, I finally ordered both the Black Friday Mystery Box and the Sunstone bracelet. I had a promo code to get 70% off my first order (aka the bracelet...promo codes are not valid on mystery boxes).

With the Black Friday Mystery Box, you were guaranteed to get at least 4 pieces of jewelry, but may have gotten as many as 10. For only $29.99 with free shipping, I just couldn't resist.

I feel like a little kid waiting for it to arrive. The shipping has been so delayed because of the Sunstone bracelet, which was backordered until this week.

I will definitely post on the contents of the mystery box/ quality of the pieces once it's finally here. In the meantime, JewelMint has their Winter Mystery Box for sale:

"Stock up on the Winter Mystery Box! Each box contains at least four (4) JewelMint Pieces + the chance to choose 25 pieces of your choice! Bonus offers that may be included in your box are: 1. $1,000 shopping spree, 2. Chance to design a 2012 JewelMint piece, 3. Surprise promo code for discount off your next purchase."

Just a fair warning before you order. JewelMint is a monthly subscription service. After you make your first purchase, you will be charged $29.99 per month for one JewelMint credit. BUT, you can opt to skip being charged between the 1st and 5th of each month. If you decide to not skip, and are charged, but do not buy anything that month, the credit will be saved in your account for use at a later date.

And, just in case the Winter Mystery Box wasn't enough to entice you to check it out, here are a few of the pieces I'm currently coveting.

Geisha Earrings / Grapevine Earrings / Pearl Soiree Choker / Casbah Bracelet / Abstract Art Ring / Milano Drop Earrings

Ladylike Chic

I'll admit it. I'm a die hard girly girl. My jewelry box is overflowing with sparkle and my closet is mostly pink. The only problem, if you want to call it that, is that my style can be a bit reminiscent of Blair Waldorf...circa Season 3.

I've been trying to think of ways to still be feminine, but in a more "grown up" and modern way.

For the first outfit, I love the back of the dress. I think it's absolutely perfect for date night. I also love that the front is very conservative, and can (maybe?) be worn during the day with the jacket. My only concern is that the bow will poke out from under the jacket. I know that would drive me nuts.

Pretty much everything for this outfit is from Forever21. I love their price-point (hello, broke college student), and I'm really loving their stuff recently.

As an added bonus, you can get $10 off your first BaubleBar item.

Sole Mates

The other night I saw a commercial for ShoeMint, and had to check it out.

I think I'm in love. When you first sign up, you take a quick quiz about your style, so they can match you with your perfect shoes. I have to say, the quiz pretty much nailed my style: feminine and classic.

There are so many styles I'm coveting, it it's ridiculous.

Interview Attire

The fact that I graduate in just a few short months has become increasingly difficult to ignore. Although I have much more school ahead of me, I'll definitely be needing more of a full-time job. Working in retail part-time just won't cut it.

This brings up one problem : I need interview clothes! I know I want something conservative (I'll likely be applying for full-time sales positions or assistant manager positions). But, I also want to stand out, without breaking the bank.

After some browsing, I came up with what I think is a decent contender.

Dress / Shoes / Bracelet

I'm just a little obsessed with the bracelet. I've been cyber-stalking it since I first saw it on the website, but have yet to pull the trigger on actually buying it.

Hello, world!

Who am I? A clothing obsessed undergrad student. I don't claim to know a lot (or anything!) about fashion, but I do love clothes/jewelry/bags/etc. and I love writing. Why not put them together in a blog?
